Terms & Conditions and Participant Waiver
By registering for the Senior (65+) Art Walk, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Participation
- I understand that this is a guided 1-mile walk that includes periodic stops to learn about public art throughout The Woodlands.
- I certify that I am physically able to participate and have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
- I understand that I am responsible for walking at my own pace and staying aware of my surroundings at all times.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in a walk involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, uneven sidewalks or trails, traffic hazards, weather conditions, insects, wildlife, and other unforeseen circumstances. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I release and hold harmless The Woodlands Arts Council, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, tour guides, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from or related to my participation, except as prohibited by applicable law.
Personal Responsibility
I agree to:
- Follow all instructions provided by the docent or event staff.
- Obey all traffic signals and pedestrian laws.
- Stay with the designated route or notify the guide if I choose to leave the event early.
- Conduct myself respectfully toward fellow participants and the public.
Weather
The walk will take place rain or shine unless The Woodlands Arts Council determines conditions are unsafe. The Council reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond its control.
Photography & Media
I grant The Woodlands Arts Council permission to photograph or record me during the event and to use these images or recordings in print, digital, social media, and promotional materials without compensation.
Refund Policy
Registration fees, if applicable, are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by The Woodlands Arts Council.
Agreement
By registering for this event, I acknowledge that I have read and understand these Terms & Conditions and voluntarily agree to them. I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights by participating.
