Help Create a Landmark Mural for Our Community!
We reached our goal! We're 100% funded!
The Woodlands Arts Council is honored to announce that we have received a $1,776 grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) to begin a special art project for the United States' 250th anniversary in July 2026.
With this support, we are partnering with acclaimed local artist Marlo Saucedo to create a brand-new community mural that will be installed at the Kevin Brady Community Center. This artwork will feature gratitude messages from community members of all ages, incorporated through Marlo’s iconic word-based painting style.
Your Gift Makes You Part of the Art
Our TCA grant launches the project, but we need to raise a total of $6,000 to bring this vision fully to life.
Every contribution moves us closer to creating this monumental celebration of our shared story.
Supporters who give $250 or more will receive special recognition, including:
- A prominently featured gratitude message within the mural
- Acknowledgment as a project supporter at the 2026 Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival
This Giving Tuesday, join us in honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary through creativity, gratitude, and the power of public art. Your support ensures that our community’s voices are literally incorporated into a mural that will inspire for years to come.
