Because of the Microgrant, Grand Oaks High School was able to purchase a new ware cart, a three-shelf rolling cart, and aprons—tools that have already made a significant difference in the classroom.
This year, the ceramics program is serving over 180 students, and managing materials, projects, and workspace for so many young artists is no small task. The new ware cart has provided crucial space for storing in-progress pieces safely and efficiently, giving students confidence that their work is protected and valued. The rolling cart has made it easier to transport tools and supplies around the room, streamlining our setup and cleanup processes. And the aprons not only help keep students clean, but also contribute to a more professional and focused studio environment.
These additions are more than just supplies—they’re essential to maintaining a well-organized, high-functioning classroom where creativity can flourish. The generosity helps create an environment where students can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time exploring their artistic potential.
