The Woodlands High School Orchestra - "Electrify Your Strings" concert
As a part of the
Woodlands High School Orchestra
program, Mark Wood and his “Electrify your Symphony” project will be working with these ambitious musicians during December 12th-14th for the 2025-2026 school year. This intensive experience boosts student self-esteem and motivation, increases school-wide family and community engagement, and helps raise money for participating schools. The culmination of this learning journey will end with a holiday concert the night of December 14th, during which students will be able to showcase the new knowledge and technical skills they acquire from Mark Wood’s program.
Thanks to the
Performing Arts Microgrant, in Partnership with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
, The Woodlands High School will be able to bring the Electrify your Symphony project to their orchestra students during the 2025-2026 school year. Because of this contributed funding, these aspiring musicians will be inspired and taught by Mark Wood and will then go on to share their musical and performance knowledge with friends and family through the concert opportunity.
