Each year The Woodlands High School Art Trust encourages Texan Artists to submit works to be considered for display in the Art Trust Gallery. The student body votes on their favorite pieces each year and withdraws $3500 dollars from the Homecoming Dance Budget to pay for the selected artworks. This impressive initiative allows high school students to be exposed to a variety of artworks from around the state of Texas and also invites artists from around the state to participate in the submission process. The Woodlands High School also offers free tours for Elementary students to view the selected art galleries so that more students can be exposed to the winning pieces.
The Dr. David Gottlieb Education Microgrant will contribute to funding the 2025-2026 school year’s Art Trust by providing the means to purchase framing and lighting for the artworks so they can continue to provide not only decorative means, but inspiration that will continue to touch the hearts of students of all ages.
