The Art Dash Party officially launches The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival weekend, welcoming more than 500 patrons, artists, sponsors, festival artists, and community leaders in support of The Woodlands Arts Council and its mission to provide arts and cultural enrichment throughout the region.

2026 FEATURED ART

"Spring Reflection" by Taman VanScoy

Taman VanScoy, an accomplished painter born in Santa Barbara and raised in Southern California's San Fernando Valley. Surrounded primarily by urban landscapes and drawn instinctively to nature, he began imagining expansive dreamlike environments —where dreams take shape— that became the foundation of his artistic process.

Taman's work is rooted in an early fascination with landscape and color and explores themes of renewal and new beginnings through the changing seasons.

Spring Reflection, a 50"x52" watercolor and gouache painting, is inspired by Texas wildflowers and reflects his ongoing pursuit of peaceful, evocative landscapes that capture the beauty and quiet mystery of the natural world.

To participate in the 60-Second Dash and take home a piece of artwork valued at $250+—generously donated by this year’s Festival artists—you must purchase both an Art Dash Party Admission Ticket and a separate 60-Second Dash Ticket.

60-Second Dash Tickets are sold separately from event admission and are available in limited quantities, so we encourage you to secure yours early for the opportunity to take home an incredible work of art.

Proceeds from the evening benefit The Woodlands Arts Council's Student Art Scholarship and Educational Outreach programs.
