The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra has long served our community with their musical endeavors. All of their musicians are passionate about bringing concerts to the community either free of charge or for very low-cost tickets. The only symphony each year that requires full priced tickets is the opening concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion during which almost 4000 attendees are present to listen to the wonderfully prepared music.
As a part of the effort to serve the seniors of The Woodlands, the TWAC Artist Microgrant will be providing funding to offer 50 free tickets to Memory Care Patients. Music has an exceptional way of connecting to the areas of the brain associated with memory, allowing these patients to not only enjoy free music and time spent with other community members, but also potentially igniting the recognition of memories that have long since been forgotten.
