Contest Details

Photographers are encouraged to submit up to three of their best photos of The Woodlands parks and pathways, nature, landscapes, aerial scenes, or drone photography.

Submit up to three (3) photos
Location: All submitted photographs must have been taken within The Woodlands.
Timing: Shots must represent winter months (Nov- Feb) in the last five years
No use of AI technology
Entry Fee: $25 for adults. No entry fee for students.
Submission deadline: September 19, 2025
Notifications of acceptance will occur on October 9.

Photographer Details

We welcome photographers of all ages and experience levels. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Professional photographer (presently or in the past)
Adult amateur photographer
High School & College Students
Youth up to 8th grade

Prizes

Professional photographer: $400
Adult amateur photographer: $300
High School & College Students: $250
Youth (up to 8th grade): $50

Jury Process/Exhibition

All submissions will be juried anonymously and considered for the curated exhibition. Selected finalists and winners will be on display at The Woodlands Arts Council's gallery space from November 4 to February 5.

Winners and prizes will be announced at the Opening Reception on Thursday, November 6.

File Format: jpg or tif
Resolution: 300 dpi
Image Size: Up to 2100 pixels on the longest side
File Size: Maximum 5 MB per photo
iPhone Users: Please select "Large Image" when sending your photos
No use of AI technology

If chosen as a finalist, we will ask you to submit the matted photo in a simple black frame. Maximum framed size 18" x 24". Works must have hanging hardware attached.

Each participant may submit up to three (3) photos. Be sure your images meet the requirements to be considered.
