TEXAS HILL COUNTRY: A PHOTOGRAPHIC ADVENTURE
By Mike Marvins
Traveling the back roads of the Texas Hill Country, cameras always poised for action, Michael Marvins has captured the excitement of small-town rodeos, savored the mesquite-smoked atmosphere of local eateries, observed the daily lives of people on the land, and admired the scenic beauty of the landscape and its natural denizens. Most importantly, he has captured his impressions with the skilled eye of a master photographer.
Marvins is a fourth generation master photographer from Houston and Ingram/Hunt Texas. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, The Amon Carter Museum, The Harry Ransom Center-University of Texas, The Victoria and Albert Museum-London, Texas State University and many others. Marvins’ images have been exhibited in dozens of venues from the House of Commons in London and The Cultural Palace, Beijing, China, to the International Photography Hall of Fame. .
