KARI LAVELLE is the author of Butt or Face? Volume 1 (Sourcebooks, 2023), We Move the World (HarperCollins, 2021) as well as the forthcoming An Ode to Grapefruit – a picture book biography of James Earl Jones (Knopf, 2024). She is a member of SCBWI and 12x12 and enjoys taking classes at the Writing Barn.

Lindsay Leslie is the award-winning author of SO YOU WANT TO BUILD A LIBRARY, DUSK EXPLORERS (an SCBWI Crystal Kite Award winner and Bank Street Best Book of 2021 with Outstanding Merit), NOVA THE STAR EATER, and THIS BOOK IS SPINELESS. Her next picture book, GUS THE BUS (illus. by Geeta Ladi), is slated for summer 2025 with Sleeping Bear Press. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, sci-fi/fantasy novelist Ryan Leslie, two teenagers, two fur-beasts, and a guinea pig.
