The Woodlands Arts Council (producers of Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival) will be working in conjunction with National Charities League - The Magnolias Chapter to assemble a 3-D replica of the featured art for the 2022 festival, entitled “Celebrating Abundance”, an oil on metal by featured artist Guilloume.
The replica will be made out of 3,333 food cans occupying 24’ tall by 24’ wide of space. The display will remain for view at The Woodlands Mall until Saturday, February 6. Then, the canned food will be donated to Interfaith of The Woodlands’ food pantry. (Below is an illustration of plans). Viewers will have access to a 25% off discount code for tickets to the festival.
TWAC’s Student Art Scholarships competition will also be on display. Winners will be chosen Saturday, February 29.
