Masterpiece Mania!


This exciting new area of the arts festival invites groups of all ages to pARTicipate in engaging art activities and workshops!

Alongside these fun activities take part and contribute to a community mural facilitated by Vickie McMillan with the support of the TWAC Artist Microgrant. This 6’x 30” Acrylic on metal mural will follow an abstract theme of nature and be hung in the Spotlight Gallery at The Woodlands Mall when complete.

Masterpiece Mania! will be located at Watercolor Terrace along The Woodlands Waterway.

About The Community Mural

Mural painting will take place during all festival hours Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

Vickie McMillan-Hayes, a native Texan masterfully creates breathtaking
wildlife, landscape, and nature paintings. Her award-winning paintings have
been exhibited in private collections, art museums and fine art galleries
throughout the country and abroad. In addition to her solo paintings, Vickie is
also known for her large-scale collaborative works, which involve hundreds or
even thousands of people working together to create a single image. These
installations have been installed in a variety of public spaces across Texas
including The Woodlands schools, government entities, The Woodlands Mall,
Texas Children’s Hospital and Walmart. Her work has been seen in Museums
and Galleries such as The Museum of Western Art; The Briscoe Western Art
Museum, Night of the Artists; U.S. Department of State/Art of Embassies
collection; South Eastern Wildlife Expo; The Russell Museum; Mountain
Oyster Club, Best Painting; Birds in Art, collection; The Brinton 101, The
Brinton Art Museum; The Wildling Museum; Gilcrease Museum, California Art
Club and the Salmagundi Art Club; Settlers West, American Miniatures; Artists
for Conservation front cover/calendar; Artist of the Year - HSC and SCI Hou;
published: The Artist's Magazine; Fine Art Connoisseur; Western Art and
Architecture Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine Artistic Excellence
