My drawings are based on reference photographs that I take during my everyday explorations. Using the photos, I create an idealistic composition of what appeals to me about the particular ecosystem to create the sketch for my drawings. I burn the image onto wood panels (some of which are custom curved panels) using a pyrography pen. The drawing is completed using colored pencils and sealed with an archival medium to protect and seal the individual pieces.
