I create my own ceramic tiles often for shapes and sometimes to add texture to my work. I also fuse my own glass tile creations which creates a compelling contrast to the ceramic tiles. In addition, you will also find a variety of semi-precious stones in my work along with many up-cycled found objects. These object often find a newer and more playful meaning in their new incarnations. All pieces are had cut and shaped to be arranged in an orderly chaos that will please and tease the eyes. Unlike many artists, I cannot mix my pallet of colors, so my challenge is to find harmony in the careful pairing of my materials and their intrinsic colors. Also, each mosaic is hand made and grouted therefore a true original.
