Public Art

Enriching the Fabric of Our Community

Public Art contributes greatly to the unique and vibrant sprit in The Woodlands and surrounding areas. Collaborating with local artists, organizations and institutions, our outreach programs help enrich the cultural fabric of our community. We are always seeking out new opportunities to forge partnerships with new organizations and to develop projects within our community.

Art Bench Project

To support our mission to promote art in the community, fourteen Art Benches have been commissioned and installed in The Woodlands through a partnership with The Woodlands Township. Walk from The Woodlands Mall to Town Green Park and enjoy the beauty and practicality of these one-of-a-kind Art Benches designed by local, national and international artists. We are currently in the process of conducting our Phase 3 Call for Artists to design and create six additional Art Benches planned as an expansion of The Woodlands Waterway and Hughes Landing. The Call For Artists ends February 28, 2017.

A Contemporary Interactive Arts Experience

How does art make us feel? Inspired by Nickole Bobley’s incredible transformation through the power of art, we are thrilled to announce the beginning of The Woodlands Arts Council “ArtFeel Blog.” Read the full story and find out how you can get involved.

Spotlight on the Arts Gallery

We curate the Spotlight on the Arts Gallery on the second floor of The Woodlands Mall. Art includes our large Master Artist collaborative pieces, our Fast Draw and Photography Contest winners as well as work by a selected artist from The Woodlands Art League and the Conroe Art League. No admission fee.
